The Department of Surgery of District Medical Group Inc. (DMG), a 450+
physician multi-specialty group exclusively contracted to provide patient care and Graduate Medical Education for the Valleywise Healthcare System (VH) is actively seeking a full-time Podiatry Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to work primarily at our Peoria, AZ multi-specialty clinic. The position, which includes employment through DMG, will assist the attending surgeons on the podiatry service to deliver high quality patient care services. VH is a public hospital system and state designated Level 1 Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.
VH is also home to the Az Burn Center.
The Podiatry Surgery APP will be responsible to perform the following duties:
Perform history and physical examinations of patients in an outpatient setting
Enter patient orders as directed.
Review and discuss results of medical imaging and laboratory studies with
attending physician, medical staff, and/or patients as appropriate.
Advise patients on foot care and general wellness practices.
Order additional medical studies (such as X-rays, ultrasounds, CT and MRI)
Perform outpatient bedside procedures including, but not limited to palliative
care, injections, nail removal, wound care, etc.
No night or weekend call required.
