Prestige and job satisfaction await a physician assistant willing to join the cardiothoracic surgery program with the Hoffman Heart and Vascular Institute at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, a 617-bed tertiary hospital located in Hartford, Connecticut. You will join 13 physician assistants, 5 cardiac surgeons and a team of cardiologists delivering comprehensive care across all aspects of cardiothoracic surgery. You will also be required to do patient care in the cardiac medical intensive care unit under a busy cardiology practice. The position offers flexible scheduling based on a 50 hour work week. A high level of clinical autonomy is expected. In hospital night call and weekend rotations are required. The ideal candidate will be NCCPA certified, hold a current Connecticut state license, and be ACLS certified. Two years of cardiovascular surgical or critical care experience is preferred, but a motivated new graduated will be considered.
