Seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife to join a collaborative OB/GYN practice of MDs, CNMs &
APPs in the Phoenix metro area. We practice in a teaching hospital, providing care to a
predominately underserved, culturally-diverse population. Full time.
Applicant will work both in a clinic and hospital setting.
Good Interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic are needed. Prior experiences in cross-cultural
care, and community service are preferred. Spanish speaking a plus.
We provide holistic and culturally-grounded services to serve women in a professional, culturally, and
linguistically-appropriate manner, while seeking to reduce/eliminate health disparities and cultural

This position requires the following:
Passion for providing care for diverse vulnerable populations
Providing Prenatal Care for routine and high risk women
Triaging pregnant patients presenting to the hospital for a variety of complaints (16-
40+ weeks)
Interpreting Antepartum Testing results and making management decisions
regarding care of high risk women (in consultation with MFM)
Educating and Managing women with Diabetes in pregnancy
Rounding on low risk Postpartum patients
Working as part of an Integrated Team of physicians and midwives in a high risk
medical-model setting
Supervising and Educating Residents
Providing Preventive Health Services
Counseling patients on all contraceptive options
Inserting IUDs and Contraceptive Implants
The position would include employment through District Medical Group Inc. (“DMG”) a 400+ physician
multi-specialty group working within Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS).
