University of Florida Health Shands is currently seeking advanced practice providers to join our growing neurocritical care program. Join a growing group of APPs, faculty, residents, and fellows in a busy and growing academic program with a 32-bed neuroICU, all while enjoying the benefits of living in Florida.
We are seeking to hire Advanced Practice Providers – NPs or PAs with critical care, surgical critical care, neurosurgery, neurology or neurocritical care experience to join our neurocritical care APP team.
Our team offers 24/7 coverage to our complex neurocritically-neurosurgically ill patients. As vital members of the team, the APP will work with the neurocritical care intensivists/faculty, fellows, residents, and team of APPs to provide independent evidence-based care in an academic institution. Key duties will include physical assessment, development and implementation of diagnostic and therapeutic plans, interpretation of physical exam laboratory, imaging, and physiologic data and clinical documentation. Procedures (central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, bronchoscopy, intubation and airway management) will also be performed by the APP.
We are currently hiring with the goal of 24/7 neuroICU APP coverage – day, night, and weekend shifts are divided amongst the group. Scheduling availability includes day & night blocks 12-hour shifts, or a night only shift schedule. Night shift and weekend differentials are a plus.
We are conducting neurocritical care investigator-initiated and multi-center research studies, and offer an opportunity to participate in scientific research and education by the APP.
Robust compensation package is offered commensurate with UF Health Shands standards.
Adult Gerontology Acute Care required for ARNP degree.
