High school diploma or the equivalent with a GED. Effective May 3 2015 - Must have either current CNA EMT Paramedic certification OR two (2) years previous experience in a nursing support role OR two year (2) years military medical experience OR a nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited program (ASN or BSN) having completed their first clinical rotation on an extended care or inpatient nursing unit (nursing school transcripts required). Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Must have current CPR at or above the Healthcare Provider level from the American Heart Association or obtain within 60 days of hire. EMT/CNA/Paramedic certification preferred or must have the equivalent of health care experience and education two (2) years previous experience in a nursing support role OR two (2) years military medical experience OR a nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited program (ASN or BSN) having completed their first clinical rotation on an extended care or inpatient nursing unit (nursing school transcripts required). If assigned to the Parkview Randallia Family Birthing Center PCTs must be bonded as a notary public within 6 months of hire. Prefer one year minimum of experience working in the patient care setting preferably as a patient care giver. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Must be able to attend four (4) days of New Hire/Patient Care/EPIC Orientation. Typical Orientation schedule is Monday (AM), Tuesday (All Day), Wednesday (All Day), and Thursday (PM).
