What You Will Do:

University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Transplant Surgery team. The NP or PA will manage and coordinate the care of transplant patients primarily in the inpatient setting however may have opportunities to also follow patient outpatient.

Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients in collaboration with physician colleagues. The APP provides continuity of patient care by facilitating and coordinating communication between the health care team, the patient, and the patient's family. The APP serves as a link, integrating relevant research and best practices.

Our Transplantation Institute at UMMC is a referral center for patients in Maryland and the adjoining states. What You Need to Be Successful:

A Master of Science degree, with completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program. Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Nursing, and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of specialization. A minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse is required.

Physician Assistant applicants must have successfully completed a PA program and obtain a Maryland PA license.
