| Description | Position Summary The practitioner functions as a health care provider within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for the purpose of providing age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care. This position is open to Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (ACPNPs). Essential Duties and Responsibilities The practice will involve care and management of patients in the PICU specialty setting. Care will include performing admission H & Ps, plan of care and day-to-day management of PICU patients. Practitioner will manage (in collaboration with the attending) the entire inpatient course. Practitioner will initiate referrals and follow up on consults to other providers.
