SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of a physician or administrator, performs medical examinations, selected diagnostic and therapeutic tasks, and other special procedures to assist in the delivery of medical services to patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Medical History. Takes complex medical histories on patients referred for consultation by academic and community physicians.
Treatment Plans. Develops treatment plans in conjunction with attending physician to provide optimal patient medical management.
Teamwork. Orders consultations and interacts with members of other specialty medical teams.

EDUCATION BS: Physician Assistant (Required)
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS PA-C - Certified Physician Assistant - National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); RPA - Registered Physician Assistant - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
