Urology Group of Princeton is searching for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the Princeton, NJ area. The right candidate will help enhance the health of our patients by providing excellent care and advice.
Princeton features a vibrant downtown area right near Princeton University, with walkable shops, restaurants, and areas of interest.
*Single specialty Urology practice that is well-regarded and independent (not hospital-owned).
*Busy 4 Urologist practice in Princeton, NJ.

*Very strong, well-established referral base.
*Affiliated with non-trauma, teaching hospital, PENN Medicine *Princeton Health Center (formerly UMCP)
*This position will chiefly see patients in an outpatient office setting.

QUALIFICATIONS
*Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program
*Licensure in the state of New Jersey
*Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner or; Certified as National *Commissioned Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
*Valid DEA & CDS
EXPERIENCE
*Experience: Physician Assistant: 2 years
*Experience: Licensed Nurse Practitioner: 2 years
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Provides direct patient care, including patient assessment, review of symptoms, history and physical, evaluation and ordering diagnostic testing, prescribing appropriate medication, and recommending follow up care and subsequent visits.
*Solicits opinions and obtains counsel from UGP physicians for the care of patients, to schedule surgical procedures, for questions regarding alternate courses of treatment.
*Counsel patients regarding preventative care, therapeutic options, the risks and benefits of recommended testing and medications.
*Documents all findings, orders, medications prescribed, procedure results, and plan for the patient’s in the EMR.
*Handle telephone calls from patients, family members, referring physicians, and hospitals.
*Generates letters to referring physicians and other practitioners, including the results of patient evaluations, recommended course of treatment, and follow up care.
*Hands-on care typically includes but is not limited to: administering medications, including bladder treatments, bladder scans, suture/surgical tape removal, wound care, including dressing changes, urinary catheter insertion, and removal, etc. |
