Full time Pediatric Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon

The Department of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained pediatric orthopaedic trauma surgeon to join our program at a top-ranked children’s hospital. We are a large team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing excellent comprehensive care in a supportive environment. Our division includes 12 full time pediatric orthopaedic surgeons with sections of hand surgery, spine surgery, and sports medicine and 4 non-surgical pediatric orthopaedic specialists. The successful candidate should be trained and experienced in pediatric orthopaedic surgery and trauma. The position’s major focus is trauma and trauma related reconstruction, complex fracture assessment and care, involvement in young adult hip program (could include periacetabular osteotomy, surgical dislocations, and arthroplasties) and call duties to support Level 1 trauma designation through the State of Missouri. Academic appointments are available through the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC). Children’s Mercy Kansas City is the academic training site for UMKC orthopedic residents. We also provide training for rotating orthopaedic residents from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
