Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) and Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG) is looking for a Certified Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedics group located in Pottsville, PA. The duties and responsibilities of the physician assistant will include, but not be limited to: Perform direct patient care in a positive and professional manner under the supervision of orthopedic surgeons. Working as the first assist in surgery. Providing preoperative and postoperative education to patient and family members. Take and review medical histories to assess the patients? needs. Examine and treat orthopedic patients. Order and interpret tests as needed to diagnose further treatment. Treat injuries; assist in the emergency room as needed for ortho related cases. Educate and counsel patients and family as to current situation, developing and implementing a treatment plan. Participate in the call schedule. Schuylkill County boasts of a variety of outdoor recreation options including state parks, campgrounds, hiking, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, golfing and canoeing. The nearby Pocono Mountains offer additional recreation opportunities. Just 2 hours north of Philadelphia and 3 hours west of New York City.
