| Description | JOIN TEAM UPG. The University of Virginia Physicians Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the University of Virginia Primary Care Family Practice in Culpeper, VA. ASPIRE TO WORK WITH THE BEST. The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant will be responsible for facilitating a psychiatric service working with both families and patients on an O/P basis. You will have access to the University of Virginia Medical Center, ranked #1 in Virginia by U.S. News & World Report. ASPIRE TO PERFORM AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. In this role you will conduct initial intakes and follow-up appointments to patients, refer patients to adult psychiatrist, geriatric psychiatrist, child psychiatrist and/or addiction psychiatrist as deemed appropriate and make decisions about medication adjustment and therapy in consultation with a psychiatrist. Requires NP or PA license to practice in Virginia, with a Master's degree from an accredited program, one (1) or more years' experience working in mental health and current BLS.
