Remote Telehealth Psychiatrist

We are currently looking for a Psychiatrist (Full-time Remote) to join our growing team. With our 100% virtual model, we are seeking a psychiatrist who is passionate about telehealth opportunities that arise with virtual patient care. The tele-psychiatrist will be responsible for providing a full range of psychiatric
services with the aim of improving mental health and quality of life for our patients. Our remote Psychiatrists carry out protocols identified for the mental health and substance use treatment of designated patients reflecting accepted standards of clinical care practice commensurate with the candidate’s training and certification. These protocols will include provisions for clinical care, including diagnosis, treatment and appropriate record keeping as well as other services. This individual must become a member of the medical staff and maintain an active practice within the NYC Health + Hospitals facilities. This position is perfect for those proficient with using technology, which allows for
telecommuting/work-from-home flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Evaluation, treatment and provision of direct care to patients in the clinical setting in-partnership with in-person house staff and other members of the healthcare team.
Provide clinical guidance to other members of the healthcare team as needed
Provide direct care for a specific number of patients on the unit, including appropriate and timely documentation.
Complete admission assessment for all patients for inpatient admission, and re-assess patients in a timely fashion. Document re-assessments in progress notes consistent with policy.
Participate in treatment plan meetings and ensure timely documentation consistent with policy.
Participate in performance improvement and quality management projects as assigned
Ideal candidates will possess:
Proven experience in acute psychiatric care including inpatient settings preferred
Passion for patient-centered care, demonstrating empathy and a positive approach
Adaptability to innovative digital platforms
Exceptional communication skills

Qualifications
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry with active NYS License
Active, unrestricted NYS License
Active DEA Waiver
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team setting
Familiarity with high-risk patients and cultural sensitivity in community settings

Annual Base Salary Range: $236,900 (board eligible) - $247,200 (board certified)
